THE EVOLUTION OF AUREOLE

Aureole was originally opened in a turn-of-the-century brownstone off Madison Avenue as Charlie's idea of an American Lutece, marking the chef’s commitment to unabashed, energetic cooking and combining classical culinary techniques with regional American ingredients. After two decades in its landmark location, our flagship restaurant took up residence in the spectacular at One Bryant Park in Times Square, one of the world's most environmentally advanced skyscrapers, where it continued its culinary legacy of intense flavors and unexpected combinations matched by an award-winning wine list.

Things are always moving forward in kitchens and after spending 20 great years on the Upper East Side and another 12 in Times Square, it’s time for a change. This next virtual chapter allows our guests to experience Aureole in the comfort of their own home until returning to a physical space when the time is right.

Aureole at Home

Aureole at Home boutique-style takeout, delivery as well as at home cocktail and dinner party menus will be led by Executive Chef Christopher Engel.

Chris has worked with the Charlie Palmer Collective team since 2016 and most recently as the Executive Chef of Palmer's flagship, Aureole at One Bryant Park.

As he did while manning the stoves at the legendary New York City establishment, Engel incorporates his diverse culinary background, intense flavors, and unexpected combinations onto the menus of Aureole at Home.
